Second email received by Grandma Leslie

Sent December 3rd, 2013 2:41 p.m.

Thanksgiving went great ( by the way my p day is Tuesday) and Elder Russel M. Nelson came to talk to us. That was my first time seeing one of the twelve apostles in person and man I have a strong testimony of them now. Literally as soon as he walked in, I started to cry. We did a service project on thanksgiving, and according to the president of LDS humanitarian services, it was the second largest project in church history. We made 350,280 meals for children who go home hungry on the weekends. Woohoo! Oh and then we saw a movie you should watch, it is called Ephraim's rescue. It is great. So, you say it is cold in the Tri-Cities? Well there is about a foot of snow here at the MTC, and it is STILL snowing. We had a snowball fight earlier. I met a missionary going to the Kennewick mission, I told him to convert my friends and family haha. Well, it is hard to write in English when all we do is speak Spanish here. When you get my SD card, you will notice that only three of us are white in the advanced class, and I am the only one who learned in school. Elder Rossel has a full Cuban father and I don't know about his mother, and Sister Braithewaite lived in Peru and other places in South America her whole life. Oh and guess what? I am now a Zone leader. Although most of my old zone is gone, we are getting four new districts tomorrow! I also found out I will be temporarily re-assigned somewhere while my visa is being cleared. I will get my assignment next Friday, and will report that Monday. You can still send mail for a while to the MTC though, because they will forward............................................................ I don't know what else to say, the teaching is fun, the Elders sometimes bug me, I am the tidiest one in my apartment, the church is true, and I have mono.... from sharing cups with someone around four weeks ago, so thank you to one of my friends or family who secretly had mono. Well, I guess that is it for now, can't wait to get your snail mail, and thanks for Paige's address. Can you please find out Trina's email address? Thanks!

Love you,
Elder Norris
